In early February, Tongya Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. officially obtained Russian factory certification, marking a significant milestone in the company’s international expansion. As Liangshan County’s first specialized vehicle manufacturer, Tongya Automobile evolved from a farm machinery repair shop established in 1982 into a leading enterprise in China’s trailer industry, integrating product design, R&D, production, and sales.

Tongya Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was designated by the state in the 1990s as an approved manufacturer of trailers and specialized vehicles. It was also the first private enterprise in Liangshan to be included in the national vehicle “Announcement” management system.
The company occupies a site of 600 mu (approximately 40 hectares), with total assets reaching 1.08 billion yuan. It employs over 600 staff members, including 68 senior technical professionals and 156 intermediate technical professionals.
Tongya Automobile is equipped with advanced domestic production facilities, including over 1,200 sets of manufacturing and inspection equipment such as laser cutting machines, robotic welding stations, automatic panel welders, and laser-guided automatic welding stations for longitudinal beams.This robust manufacturing capability ensures the high quality and reliability of its diverse product range, including its specialized Cement Tank Trailer.

Tongya Automobile’s flagship products comprise the “Tongyada” brand series of specialized vehicles, including various powder tank semi-trailers, liquid tank semi-trailers(such as the diesel tanker trailer), general-purpose semi-trailers, and container transport semi-trailers.
Beyond traditional specialty vehicles, the company also manufactures a full range of sanitation vehicles, including truck-mounted cranes, tow trucks, street sweepers, multi-functional dust suppression vehicles, and water sprinklers.
Over 100 product types produced by the company have reached advanced domestic standards. Products are sold in more than 30 provinces across China and exported to over 40 countries and regions, including Australia, Russia, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Central Asia.

Tongya Automobile has achieved multiple quality certifications, including CCC certification from the China Quality Certification Center and ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System certification.
The “Tongyada” brand trademark has been honored as a “China Well-Known Trademark” and a “Famous Trademark of Shandong Province.” Its semi-trailers, bulk cement trucks, and fuel transport (refueling) semi-trailers have been recognized as Shandong Provincial Famous Brand Products.
The powder and granular material transport semi-trailer has passed “Taishan Quality” certification and earned the “Shandong Quality Brand” title. The company has also been designated a national “High-Tech Enterprise” and a “Shandong Gazelle Enterprise.”
04 Technological Innovation: Intelligent Production Leading Industry Upgrades
Facing new opportunities and challenges in the international market, Tongya Automobile has intensified its focus on accelerating production transformation and upgrading, alongside the application of innovative technologies.
The company has implemented intelligent and automated production, introducing new intelligent production lines including large-scale laser cutting machines, longitudinal beam laser-guided double-sided automatic welding workstations, box panel automatic welding workstations, Swiss ABB robotic automatic intelligent welding workstations, and automated assembly conveyor lines.

After over 30 years of development, Liangshan County’s Special Purpose Vehicle Industrial Cluster has established an annual production capacity of 350,000 vehicles. Its products serve the domestic market and are exported to over 70 countries and regions across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa, and South America.
As a key component of this industrial cluster, Tongya Automobile gained worldwide recognition through its advertising slogan: “Roads stretch endlessly across the world; wherever there’s a road, there’s a Tongya vehicle.”

Russian factory certification marks a crucial step in Tongya Automobile’s internationalization strategy. This accreditation confirms that Tongya’s production management systems, product quality control, and technical standards meet Russian market requirements.
Following certification, Tongya will enjoy smoother product exports to Russia while gaining invaluable experience for future expansion into other international markets.
